This girl got a camera and has been making her own photographs and posting them on Flickr.

A representative from the Band "Maroon 5" saw one of her photographs and contacted her to re-create it for them for an album cover.

Well, she did, and since then she's gotten lots of offers for other pro work.

I'd say, from looking at her photostream, she deserves every bit of work she gets....

Dog, Thank you for a very inspiring story! I have forwarded this to my 14 years old granddaughter. We did swim meet this weekend. Part of the small talk centered around her being a part of Year Book staff. She was asking about cameras in general terms. They have a bunch of 1st, 2nd generation Canon and Nikon Pro stuff that have been donated. My best advice the equipment is the equipment. It's mostly about talent as this story demonstrated. J. R.

Very talented.

Shows that a camera is a tool for your vision.

This is the best example I have seen in a long time that shows how important it is to know how to recognize a potential market for "art" with an "edge". Interesting lesson in the power of marketing techniques.

You'll have to buy her a lion for Christmas.
