Great to see all the progress Ed. I believe the Long Beach Boardwalk is now repaired in it's entirety. 8-)

Good for Long Beach. no sarcasm intended. Unfortunately, along Rockaway's 7 miles of boardwalk, we still have only a block here and there.

Thanks for the photos. So happy to see NY rebuilding. The Jersey Shore just had many homes condemned to be torn down. Mold took over money is just coming in for many people who did not have the resources to get the heat on and dry the house out immediately. A year later it's still really awful from Tuckerton to Brigantine really was destroyed. Whole blocks are being leveled due to condemned houses.
My husband aka Mr Nikon manages a large plumbing supply wholesale business and a heat engineer and is just now getting blueprints for more renovations. A year later. Very sad indeed

Slow progress here in some parts of Jersey. Sadly many people just bulldozed and moved away.

It is for sure. I also design bathrooms for the Supply House. I could write novels about the sadness the area has endured. From OC to LBI is my customer base. From Multi million dollar mansions and small cottages. Year round owners out if their homes for a year just now starting reconstruction. One couple in Ventnor had the house in the family for 100 years. Condemned for black mold. Just walked away from it!! I feel the media has only focused on letting people think the shore is open for the tourist business and ready to go. They have forgotten about the real people that live there all year. A lot lost everything. As I am sure Long Island did also.

I always find the ability of mankind to fight back after tragedy inspiring. Thanks for sharing these shots.

By the way, your Avatar looks like Jack Lemmon on drugs. :-D
