Thank you Heirloom Tomato :) There are times that the mere thought of him no longer being here brings a tear to my eye. Bad a** biker with a real soft spot it seems.

I know what you mean. There was a wolf dog in my past who taught me to be a better human, and I miss him still. Now I have a very special cat.... he is above and beyond any in my life before. He is only three, lucky me. Special, special animal companions who live in your heart.

I grew up in Erie, Pa., but left long ago. I still miss Lake Erie a bit, too.
