I'm new to the forum and haven't yet taken any photos I feel have the impact of the ones I've seen here in the forum. My current photo are yet everyday snapshots. I hope to get out and taken some that will be god for the forum.
For now, I'd like to show some of my older images I took back in the 80's...
This I took a few years back of daughter
Self portrait I used on my business card.
A made shot, with studio lighting.
Wow! Those are spectacular! You are quite the photographer!

Thank you. Now that I've gotten a Digital camera, D90, I'm back to photography 101. This is all new to me now, and I'm still learning how to use my new camera.
Than you again,

Nice pics Rocky...you'll love your D90, I've had mine for a few years now and love it...still rated as one of the best Nikons around despite coming out in 2008...just bought a D7100 and it's going to be hard to improve on the D90...
Ron.

Rocky, I've seen a lot of fabulous photos taken with a D90. I think you are going to love it! Looking forward to seeing some of your new work.
You shouldn't have any problem with your expertise. These are very good. You will do great.

I feel that my D90, will be my last camera. I still have my long time companion, Nikon F4 on display in my living room. Still in perfect comdition...
I do miss my Nikkor 180F2.8 lens. I put a lot of seccessful miles on it before I had to sell it. A major mistake.
Great pictures and welcome to UHH. You'll love your D90.

Consider the 80-200f2.8 ED IF Nikon D lens to replace your 180. Way less expensive than the 70-200 2.8 with VR. Still available new or as a good used one from the film days. My favorite Nikkor was the f2.5 105mm I had with my FTn. I have a Russian copy of it I still play with on my D300 for portraits, but the 80-200 is so much more versatile now.

When I purchased my D90, I also got the Nikon AF-S-DX-NIKKOR-18-105mm-F3.5-5.6G-ED-VR. That's the only lens I have for it. It's a great lense for my family pics that I take, but it does have it's limitation.
That 80-200 F2.8 you suggested sounds like a lens I'd be very interested in. Do you us it in you portrait urges? Hope to see some of your work, if I ever figure out how to get around in the forum!

I've used the 80-200 for portraits outdoors, indoors its a 24-85 3.5/4.5 NikonFX lens so with the crop factor its 35mm to 100mm or so, used with a SB800 flash off camera. For vacation shots I use the 18 to 300 3.5-5.6 VR Nikon - it is heavy but performs from 18" to 300mm and with the vr it is good in dark churches, etc too. Got a few nice handheld Grizley shots in Alaska with it, Moose too.
