It's just about ready to snow...Gracie snuggles under blankets.
It's getting colder in our house and when that happens both Puggies snuggle under blankets most of the time. (it's really not that cold, they are just wimps.)
Gracie huddled under a blanket in her favorite chair.
Whipped out the cheapie $7.00 light stand with the $50.00 Yongnuo YN560 and the cowboy $20.00 triggers.
Metered it at f/4
Shot with the new 50mm lens (the Voigtlander)
It was so dark, I couldn't hardly see to focus...I just took a few extra to make sure. (and I missed it slightly anyway.)
Did a "low contrast wash" and a border in Nik color efex.
This is the result.
ok What is it you missed??? The eyes are in focus and you made me say AWWWWWW so in my lowly opinion you NAILED it :)

Naa....the field of acceptable focus is mostly behind her eyes...so thankfully I was using an aperture that masked my error, but if I was shooting wide open...her eyes would be out of focus.
well you definitely nailed the awww factor :)
