Peregrine Falcon after a Gull

Not the greatest IQ, a full crop, but thought maybe some would find it interesting that a peregrine would attack such a large bird.. I believe its a herring gull.. I didn't see them till I heard the gull squealing.. the Falcon did give up chase shortly after I got this shot

Great capture

Coincidently, last weekend at Conowingo Dam in Maryland, I saw a peregrine make two full strikes on an immature bald eagle. I am sure the peregrine was protecting a nest as its mate was also close by providing support and harassing the eagle. The peregrines certainly were very effective in chasing the eagle away.

You did much better than I did as I did not even get a shot of the falcons attacking the bald eagle - very well done
