Wacom, Bamboo Capture

I just looked at the add for Bamboo Capture by Wacom and it looks like a fun"tool" to have to play with my pictures. Its not terribly expensive either. I was wondering if anyone had one of these tablets, whether or not if you like it, is it as easy to use as advertised etc. etc.

I have one, I really haven't used it much. They take a lot of getting use to, some may not have as much trouble as others. But I am really glad! it was no more expensive, than it was. I may break it out, and try getting use to it once more some day?.

I received the Bamboo Create for my retirement from a coworker. It does take a little getting used to, but I love it.

I use a few Wacom products depending on what I'm doing. If I'm in the office, then I use either my Wacom Cintiq, or Intuos 4.

But if I was being completely honest, I would also have to admit that when I'm going to head out and grab coffee for a bit, or sit at home. I use my Wacom pen and touch. I would give myself a heart attack, if something happened the either of the big guys, but my life won't end if I ruin the Pen and Touch. Also, with some of the Photocomping I do, I still find that the sensitivity and response are more than I need with the cheaper one.

I was given the Bamboo Capture for Xmas last year. Nice tool, but the working area is WAY too small for my 27 inch monitor, it is now a dust collector in a file cabinet drawer. The idea would work great with say a 9" x 12" or larger working surface, but unfortunately that comes with a price tag much bigger than the Captures $79.95. It was fun to play with though, works well with photo editing software and is intuitive to master. (I can dream of a Cintiq 24HD for under a hundred bucks and drool all over my pillow! LOL) Good luck

I guess it depends on what you do when you edit your photos. If you use the mouse quite a bit you will love the pen and tablet. I have one and couldn't live with out it. The only complaint is that the tablet is small unless you spend quite a bit to get a larger one. Also it takes up quite a bit of work space.

My 11 year old granddaughter used her Wacom Bamoo to make this:

Like so many things, it's not the tools, . . .
