Even though past peak color, I found this scene to be delightful. It's a small pond just off U.S. 1 north of Kennebunkport, Maine. 10/19/2013.

You are the third person today who makes me want to chuck my Nikon and purchase a Canon. Maybe when I win the Lottery...

You're most kind, Sir. I don't want to start another Nikon vs Canon argument, but your Nikon will most likely take great photos. Even an old Brownie Hawkeye could take photos better than this one. Experiment with that Nikon, Mike.

I will certainly heed your advice, SS. At present, I don't have an alternative but I originally bought a Nikon because a great deal of professional photogs are carrying them. With that said, I know perfectly well that most of the skill happens behind the camera because, to this day, some of the best pictures I have ever taken were done with an old Pentax K1000. On some levels it's like comparing apples to oranges because digital still can't quite approach film but digital is a whole lot easier to alter. I enjoy my D5000 but it has issues that I find hard to deal with like going into La la land in low light conditions. Sometimes I have missed shots because the camera simply wouldn't work. The irritating part is that is has no problem telling me there isn't enough light when the lens cap is on. I have no idea what its trip is...
