I Think My D7100 Is Water Resistant

Our local Sportsmen's club had an outdoor event over the weekend with a steady light rain and overcast for most of the day. I shot about 200 images with my D7100 both inside and mostly outside. My primary concern was keeping rain and fog off my lens so I utilized a camera strap hooking up to the tripod mount so lens would stay facing down. Most shots were taken with ISO 800 - 1000 and natural light.

My D7100 still works, I guess it was water resistant as advertised. Here are a few shots in the rain.

You're a brave man, RetiredPhotog. You believe advertising! :D

You have to figure that if they say a camera is "weather resistant," there must be some level of moisture protection. All it takes is a few well-placed seals. All cameras should be made like that. Expense would be minimal, but the benefits would be great.

Thanks Jerry, don't know about brave, we have our local Sportsmen's club event every year and about a week ago the advanced weather forecast was rain on Sunday and nice on Saturday. Weather man had his days turned around and plans was for rain or shine.

My biggest concern of course was rain and fog on the lens and some how I kept it off. A lens shield helped. I function as the club photographer and safety officer so it works out good walking around and can take pictures of safety violations which we did not have. :)
