I seek to qualify for the $9.99/mo. Creative Cloud Photographer's package that Adobe is offering. Unfortunately, neither the CS 5 or CS 6 educational versions that I own qualify for that rate; so I am forced to pay $10/mo. more for a bunch of applications that I have no interest in or use for (Dream Weaver, etc.).
I am looking for a really modestly-priced (read: cheap) retail version of CS 3, and the willingness of the seller (who, presumably, has previously registered the product with Adobe) to spend the time necessary to transfer the license to me via Adobe customer service.
Thanks in advance.
When I signed up for the $9.99 Creative Cloud they used my email and phisical address to verify that I had the the correct software to qualify so I don't think that buying a old copy of CS3 will work since they don't use the seriel number....just saying
If you do a regular upgrade to cs6 i.e. not extended which cost $200 could you then upgrage to the $10/month creative cloud?

How much do you want to spend?

Yes, all that is required is to have a version (full) of CS3 or later! (I guess educational versions don't count, as they've been already heavily discounted).

Before posting this I spoke with Adobe (and have the written transcript) and told them exactly what I wanted to do. I was told (after the repr. checked a couple of times with someone) that copies of CS3 can be transferred to a new owner and as long as the original surrenders the right to seek the $9.99 Photographer's package, the new owner can do so.

My dilemma is that I already have both CS5 and CS6, but both are educational versions. While the price was discounted, they were not cheap, believe me, educational versions do not qualify (I didn't believe it either, but went back to the terms and there it is in black and white). Hence, my attempt to lock in the (purported) lifetime rate of $9.99.

To make this work from my perspective, it would be in the $120 range.

I can do it for that. Let me contact Adobe and I will get to you.

Have you had a chance to contact Adobe. I would like to complete this transaction, if possible, sooner than later. If you have changed your mind, please let me know so that I may look elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry for not keeping in touch. I will take care of this next week and let you know the details.
Thanks. Will look forward to hearing from you when you are able to get back to me.
