Built in 1910 in Mason City Iowa, The Historic Park Inn is the only surviving example of a hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It reopened a couple of years ago after being completely remodeled.

Thank you. It was an experience staying there. A 100 year old building doesn't have much sound deadening insulation. Our room was on the top floor (third floor) but was right above a bar with an outdoor beer garden. Loud partying til 2:30AM.

This past summer my best friend and I stayed in a room where the air conditioner made so much noise sleeping was almost impossible. At this (motorcycle) rally was a couple that did custom ear plugs. That night I slept and never heard the air conditioner. $65 well spent.

Its nice to see old buildings restored rather than pulled down.
