YUP...a different version..
When I arrived at the park where I run this morning, it looked pretty dismal for photography opportunities. Instead of "Yup, life is great!" the thought was "Yup, we're in for the long haul."
But, I managed to find some really cool things to photograph. Here is one of them, and I'd like to say.,,Nightski's got white snow this year!!!
Cheers All :-D

What it looked like arriving at my running spot this morning
Congrats on the white snow :-) . That must have been a very low shot on snow-covered ground. You should do a series titled "Beyond the Comfort Zone".

Thanks RG. I needed a little pat on the back for that. Yes, I was soaked when I got back to the car. I could barely get my keys out because my hands were frozen, and my feet didn't thaw out until I had a cuppa in front of the heater at home. It was a hand held shot though. I never do that, but I had no choice with the angle of it.
Just out of curiosity, were the skies grey when you took the shot? I can remember concluding that the colour of the sky was a major factor in snow shots (that and getting the WB on the right setting haha).

It's an easy mistake to make. Aren't you pleased that it reminds you of how far you've come in so little time? Your results speak for themselves.
Golly, this photo makes me so glad I live down south. Most of the trees here are still green. Very nice mushroom. Very cold snow...makes me freezie.

Thank you, Froggy. Thank you for the kind compliment, and I am not offended one bit that you're not crazy about the weather. :-)

A fellow member, vancleef allowed me the use of his swan photograph. It was a reality shot of the original piece of clip art I used when I first started here, so thanks for noticing and giving me another chance to give him credit for the photography and for being an all'round nice guy.
And your comment that you have white snow this year....what did I miss there. Do you ever get colored snow?? Pink?? Purple?? Fill me in here.
