Me too... it doesn't work for everything. Great relfection. To bad it has the dark shadow on the left side.

Perhaps an angle more to the right would have elininated the dark shadow. It's one of the reasons to take multiple shots from different spots.

Very nice photo and definitely should have been composed as you did with the church more centered. I'm assuming this is a golden hour photo, otherwise I would be tempted to adjust the levels so the the church was whiter (why are most churches white, I wonder?) If it is golden hour or that is the impression you wanted to create then the color is perfect! I hope you don't mind, but I had a couple thoughts about it (and this does not say your photo isn't wonderful), as for tweaking. If you don't like them it's OK. I'll submit two versions. I did not adjust the levels or color on either so the golden hour look would be maintained. The first, I straightened the shoreline...it appeared to me to be slanting (a very difficult photo to straightened because the road slants ;) ) and I trimmed off the black line on the top when I cropped the straightened photo. On the second version I made only one change to the one I had already edited. I just darkened the highlights. I like this effect because I feel the church just jumps out due to it being the only light object on the shot and due to the deepening of the colors. I don't know if I improved them or not. It's just a matter of personal preference. Oops! I'm going to attach to next comment. They looked like they downloaded wrong.

Hope it works this time! I just noticed that the one with the darkened highlights also looks more focused...I didn't know it could do that. I would never had realized that yours had a softer focus until I saw this.

Not a rule breaker att all.
1 third at the top and one third at the bottom. Love it.
