I took some pictures of the moon tonight at around 11:30. These are the best I could get, the camera just didn't seem to want to focus. I'm not sure how I got the reflection, the only thing I could see was the bright ball, the camera picked up the other.
mabey someone can explain why it came out like this.

But as far as camera settings try these F/8 ISO 250 Shutter 1/320 sec.

I tried for the same shot with my Canon equipped with a 1000mm mirror lens. The second shot was the same lens, but with a 2x doubler. I guess the system works! BTW, your shots could be reflections off the glass coatings similar to lens sun flare, IMHOP.

Way overexposed. I'm no expert so I suggest you use 'search' on this site and check out moon shots.
