The National Crane Foundation is all about protecting the Crane population around the world. The have pairs of all the species and allow (hope for) photographers and others who are interested for support of the mission.

I spent at least 1/2 a day walking and photographing.

These photos are great shots. Even as the fact that they are behind a wire enclosure. If you wish to experience hundreds of thousands of cranes in the wild, plan a trip to Grand Island Nebraska, the latter part of March. Bring warm clothes and be entertained in man made blinds for photo and field glass enthusiasts alike, and you will see a spectacular yearly event put on by Mother Nature that has been going on for eons.
