Took these a coupe nights ago. I do have some [normal] shots of the Lighthouse but toward the end of shooting I dipped and swirled the camera off tripod just for the heck of it.

great pics,i take pics with the same method you do, try it on fireworks, my fav subject,the free hand motion has a great effect on fire works pics
