On our recent visit to the Camp Lejeune area of Jacksonville/Onslow County, North Carolina, we had occasion to visit the Vietnam Memorial at Camp Johnson. Made of glass panels that surround a beautiful fountain, the names are etched alphabetically, making finding a easier. It was truly a very moving experience, especially for my husband who is a 100% Disabled Vietnam Veteran who served as a Combat Medic in IaDrang Valley (1965-66)
If you've seen the movie, We Were Soldiers and Young with Mel Gibson, you know where hubby served.
These are moving photos. There is something spiritual about the concept of #3. Thanks for posting.
