I fell in love with this road when I first turned down it,not knowing where it would go. It ended up at a very old grave yard,,which I spent hours walking around reading all the tombstones,,wondering what kind of storys where behind them???

A fairy tale road........or so I thought!

Oh I know! I love to find them,,,there where several markers that had 1700's on them,,,I wish that we could just see a small clip of events that happened there on that day in the 1700's!

Good shots! Love old cemeteries, trying to locate some abandoned ones out here. Won't be back that far I suspect but like you love to wander around, read the stones and try to imagine the lives they represent.

Thanks for sharing!

Your photos are quite nice. I enjoy time spent in old cemeteries. And, like you wonder what lays behind the grave.

I went to school in Hattiesburg (William Carey) and was TDY in the USAF to Biloxi quite a few times in my 22+ years on active duty. Like you I'd be out driving around and see what looked to be an old cemetery ... but with small kids stopping wasn't usually an option.

Thanks again - great pictures and your comment brought back some really pleasant memories.
