Joe, is this a joke post?

A 'NUKON' camera sounds like it came from the same place my buddy bought a watch from called a ROLIX while in New Orleans.

Budapest is in Hungary, not Germany.

You can download the manual for the camera from Amazon.com for a fee of $4.95. It is 252 pages and downloads in PDF file format.

It is from manualsink.com

As for electric. I would guess that you will be dealing with 230 volt 50 cycle electricity like the rest of Europe.

You can download the manual free at:

You can probably get a converter at WalMart or Radio Shack.

Just so you know Budapest was traditionally recognized as two cities, Buda and Pest, separated by a river; they have now merger. Where are you going in Germany?

I have that camera. You definitely want to put it on "Sun" in the white balance (green camera icon top dial) for outdoor pictures as this camera lets in a lot of light. Museum setting works pretty good for indoor without flash for the same reason. Also in the "green" menu is a setting for fast shots (the continuous H is better than the others) which is not too bad. And it does take pretty good movies if you are so inclined. That is about as far as I have gone with this camera. Recommend the manual if you have time. Good Luck and enjoy your trip!

It is a pocket size point and shoot with a 22x wide optical zoom lens. It does have GPS function (with the right program on your computer to interpret it) and Wi-Fi. It is super easy to use and the command dial on the top is more user friendly than the older S9300. For a small camera, it is probably one of the best and it sure is a lot easier to have in your purse or pocket, but still has a tripod mount for larger jobs, movies and night photography.

If you are staying in a hotel, many have outlets for 110/115 volts for electric shavers and such but there are small plug adapter/transformer type gizmos that will allow your battery charger to function. Check on Amazon or they even sell them at airport shops too but at a premium price. The kits usually have all the plug adapters to fit any country. Nothing you can do about the conversion of 50 to 60 cps though so motors using 60 cycle will get hot or run slow.

Useful camera. Use Daylight, tried to stay away from the long zoom end of the camera. If you shoot in very low light, use a tripod. I've the S9200, a earlier version which is ok for most picture taking. However, it's not a good replacement for a DSLR with the same megapixel count. Images are so-so, even with the best care of shooting with a tripod.
Enjoy your stay in Budapest. We were there 3 years ago. Be sure to get shots from a hill over looking the river and the palace. There is a restaurant on the hill that serves really good food.
Bon Voyage.

As for charging your camera batteries, read the bottom of your charger for power requirements. You will find that chargers work both 220 and 110 voltage. The only thing necessary would be a pronged plug adapter for European outlets. Power converter not necessary. Most hotels already have two pronged outlets similar to North America outlets, ready to go.

Depending on how old it is, Nikon might have a free download available. Otherwise, you could just Google the info you need. If you have a charger, it's probably good for any voltage. Check the label. You will need the appropriate adaptor(s), though,

EDIT: I see Bluejay beat me to it. :D
