I am thinking of purchasing this camera body when the price is right. Has anyone here had experience with it, and if so, what is your opinion of this Nikon camera? (D7000)
Thanks ahead of time.

Wanda, A good place to go to see what people think about the Nikon D7000 are Amazon.com, B&H photo, Adorama Photo, or online camera stores. Click here http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-D7000-DX-Format-3-0-Inch-Body/dp/B0042X9LC4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323600125&sr=8-3 to see what people from Amazon.com say about the D7000. I use this info all the time to help make my decisions on buying various camera equipment. BTW - I understand from my photographer friends they think this is a very good camera. Arnold

I've had my D7000 for a year. After reading all the reviews, I decided to go for it.

To put is short........I LOVE IT! it is fantastic. Unless you want to go further with Nikon D3. The D7000 will give you the best bang for buck!

When I decide to replace my D40, the D7000 is my likely choice; unless I can fit a D700 into my budget.

Snowbear, the D700 is a full frame camera, with less MP! (although I don't think that is an issue with the mp's). But, I have a couple of friends who love their D700, I like having the extra mm of the less frame size. I can't afford the big one, and I'm not ready to buy all new lenses either!! That's why I'm looking at the D7000. Also, I need to purchase another camera for a back-up. Need to send my D300 in for rubber repair.....second year in a row. Must be my hand sweat!

Bought another D7000 the other day. It's hard to be disappointed in the 7000 particularly if you already have a selection of lenses. it seems to be a pretty good match for your system.

I have a D7000 and love it. Unless you can go to a D300 its as good as you can do.

I use the D90 as well as the D7000, the D90 has the same sensor as the D300, but adds video to the mix. I love the D7000 over the D90 for several reasons, enough so that I plan on selling my D90 this coming Spring and getting another D7000 if the D7100 is not available yet. I think the D7000 is the BEST DSLR on the market for the money. (I just cannot come up with 12 grand for the D3Xs or I would have 2 of them! LOL)

Not yet. Production and release of the D7100 and the D400 have both been delayed due to massive flooding in Thailand where they are manufactured. Last rumor I got was for Spring release for both. Waiting to see.

I have had the Nikon D7000 for a few months now and love it! Many options within the camera plus I love the interval shooting mold so I can put it on a tripod n tell it how many pics to shoot every so many minutes while shooting another camera during a play, wedding or other situation's. And if for any reason you choose the "sene" mold it's right on target for whatever situation you're shooting. I love my manual shooting n aperture priority settings don't get me wrong but if you get it, try your different many "sene" selections that will give you quick perfect shots n the Night mold is right on the money with tripod at 100 iOS. I shot a wedding in manual n one in aperture and one in program mold for a test n although I shoot most weddings in manual, my other settings were great also weather I was useing no flash r flash it was beautiful. The focusing is fast it shoots at 6 frames per second n ha a 6400 ISP. Great camera for the money
