With a number of Republican leaders trying to pass a bill to lift the political contribution limits that are currently in place, we just may see a lot more of this in the future.

Got some hard evidence Sarg, and no matter who does it, why aren't you condemning any and all who do it, instead of the usual liberal response of "Well he did it too!" That's about as mature as any 6 year old I can think of.

Wow. Thanks for the thoughtful insight. I never KNEW that heyrob was calling people and soliciting 'donations.' For him to be hypocrit, he'd have to be criticizing someone for doing the same thing he does.

S.O.S.D.D. blah! blah! blah! Do you really think with the vote being split so close to 50-50 that your going to see anything different than what we've got? Votes are bought and paid for everyday all the time. As long as we sit here and argue about stupid s#!T over and over these opportunists in Washington will be practicing stupidity as usual. Vote independent. Could we be any worse off than we are now? There are more politicians out there who would leave their sad ass parties like Lieberman did just because their ideas aren't accepted by the fuddy duddy uncompromising insanity groups we have now. Hell, some of them might even be worthy of being elected It would sure shock the hell out of the lobbyist groups knowing that AMERICANS HAVE HAD ENOUGH. Every time you point your finger at someone take a look at your own hand. There are 3 pointing back at you. If you can criticize in your words, the Obummer party, without taking a good look at your own crybaby Boner, then you are part of the problem. If the vote were split 3 ways, 35% to 35% to 30% for independents, I guarantee you, people in Washington would get the message.

First of all...Why would ANYONE in Washington even care about "Getting the message?" Hell they get a pension for life that is much higher than the average Joe gets. They have enough contacts in one term to set them up for life.

She didn't get any money because she is a non-voting member of congress representing the folks who live in Washington DC, who get taxation without representation. Well - as she says - she is the only one who "didn't get any money" !

Until we get big money out of politics we get what OTHERS pay for. GOP or Democrat. When it costs millions of dollars for a "simple" person to run for office, the person becomes as corrupt as our system.

The Liberals also seem to forget that one of Obamas major planks during his first election was to do away with the lobbyers. He vowed that this type of influence would end the moment he moved into the White House.

It doesn't matter which party does it. It matters that it doesn't serve the peoples best interest. It matters that this is another failed promise from the President.
