Taken during a hot summer morning, which created dark shadows. Processed in photomatix, with further adjustments to the shadows in PS. Also attempted to reduce a bluish tint to some of the shadows, which only reduce them a little.

CC welcome.

Gaylord: What were the exposures on the bracketed set? I'm seeing some recovery of detail in the shadows-- but not much.

Thanks. This one is a challenge. Pretty wide dynamic range. I might actually boost the saturation just a bit and adjust the white and black points: black point down and white point up-- not much... Just my 2pennies. Otherwise, this is a prime candidate for HDR=-- and you did not overdo it. But I'm pretty wiped out-- so I'll look at this again tomorrow am

I'll give it a shot, 2pennies might make a lot of cents.

I like it. It's not overdone. It has good detail and you can see into the shadows.

I like the subject and the HDR effect ! I will start posting some HDR in the upcoming week and hope to get some good C & C. I was very hesitant about HDR I now think it has great potential for improving and possibly showing what you actually were seeing and I bought Photomatix Pro so I can get to work with it.
