I'm really learning from this site. I'll be 80 in a month. I got my first camera, an Ansco 620-flash when I was 12 years old (1945) and used it till I was about 19 when I bought a Bolsey B2. I was a journalist for a while and ended up having a 38 year career as a technical writer (lots of pictures). At some point I got an expensive Pentax ($$$$) with lenses for about everything (heavy). On a 10 day trip to Switzerland it about broke my neck. I got my first digital around 1998 that had only enough memory to take 40 pictures 320 x 240. On a trip to Germany, I downloaded this camera to my laptop at least twice a day, and still love the 477 pictures. In 2009, my wife took and I took an adventure trip to Alaska, so I considered a new camera. I was using a Canon SX-30IS then. After recalling my sore neck with old Pentax, I decided to stay with the SX-30. I am now considering a new camera and have a Canon SX-60 in mind if it looks good enough for me when it comes out. I like to make photo-books and have done 4 and have 2 in work. My pictures are mainly nature and friends and family. Picasa says I have 54,000+ pictures on my computer in 574 files!
Welcome, 54,000+ is a lot of pictures. Your a well seasoned photographer.

Hi Jerry and welcome! The SX50 is getting some great things said about it here on the site. So I think the 60 will follow in it's steps. If you want to do a search of the 50 and see some awesome shots, use the search tab at the top of the page. Hope you have as much fun here as I am haven!!:)
