I thought that our politicians acted like little children. Boy am I glad I don't live in America. From what I see here (UHH) and on the various news channels, the USA seems to have gone mad - can't go and visit a national monument, can't go in the sea, stopping people going to live in their own houses because they live in a National Park! And now stopping a volunteer mowing grass and clearing the litter and debris, but allowing a demonstration to take place at a venue that is officially closed - that is definitely double standards. What the hell is happening?

We have an expression here - You get the government you deserve. (That's going to open a can of worms).

I've got my tin helmet on waiting for the explosion!

At least you see the same thing I'm seeing. I can't even make an excuse for the shameful behavior of our government by blaming someone. The world sees, I don't have to alienate other citizens who are blinded by greed and free hand-outs. It'll come around to bite them in the ass hopefully and I'll sit back and smile.

A very sad example of today's values. We need Chris Cox and similar in Washington!

Just a thought.

When we as individuals have issues with what is happening we go out on a limb and will suffer socially and financially for the cause.

When the government have issues they go out on a limb and send us out to suffer socially and financially for the cause.

Let's not forget tarred and feathered as well as run out of town. For the most transparent administration in history (big guffaw here) we learn nothing ever about things gone wrong.

UNFORTUNATELY, I wonder if I live in the US anymore either.
Ther have been other govt shutdowns, but they were never extended to open areas managed by the US Park Service.

I understand that the Park Service employees don't like it anymore than we do. Both Houses of the US Congress DO NOT have the right to close govt facilities -- ONLY ONE MAN. HE JUST HAPPENS TO LIVE DOWN THE STREET FROM the Lincoln Memorial and other OPEN AREA SITES.

BTW== HAS ANYONE ASKED IF WHITE HOUSE STAFF -- COOKS, GROUNDS KEEPERS HOUSEKEEPING, AND SECURITY -- WERE ALSO SENT HOME OCT 1ST ???

I DON'T THINK SO !!!

Actually there was a very small news article the other day stating that the White House staff has been scaled back from just over a thousand to 545. The First Family must really be roughing it!

I want to know why the libs are so silent about the events this week: Veterans in wheel chairs are turned away from their open air monuments, visitors to Yellowstone and Mr Rushmore are prevented from taking photos, while several top ranking Democrats open the National Mall and participate in a rally of illegal immigrants. Citizens cannot visit the Lincoln Memorial but illegals can march and rally while Pelosi gives speech's in the shadow of the monument. The grieving families of soldiers killed in battle are denied the benefits they are due. The House passes a bill to provide those benefits, unanimously but it takes the Senate over 24 hours to pass the bill. The Secretary of Defense, for the first time since taking office, visits Dover for a photo op while the bodies of fallen warriors are returned after he approved the denial of those benefits.

If any of you libs can justify these actions I would like to hear it.

We need to send a message to the White House that we are fed up.
