Point well taken, dj. Here it is again with the shadows pulled just a tad. Earl.

Both are lovely images. Would love to see more sunrise/sunset shots from your area, Earl! I remember your mentioning you don't really get a twilight, though. Something to do with being closer to equator?

Thanks for your input, Linda. I am planning more sunsets, including some time lapse videos. Re. twilight. We have just started daylight saving. At 6.45, it is light enough to read a book outdoors. By 8.00, it is pitch black. :D

Thanks Graham. I have my panning sorted out now, so no more wonky horizons on the vids, lol.

Both are gorgeous, Earl. You captured the golden hour. I wasn't aware you didn't have twilight there.

Love the colors and even the blacks without pulling the shadows. I've got the Siggy 17-50 2.8 too. How do you like it? I shoot Canon and find the skin tones are on the pink side with this lens compared to my L grade lenses. I've had to make color adjustments in camera to combat it. How are the colors on the Nikon?

This lens stays on my D7100 almost all the time. I love it, & color rendition has never been an issue. I shoot mine the way it came out of the box, with no 'in camera' tuning. I also have a Siggy 70-200 f2.8, & a Siggy 120-400. All are 'EX' lenses & I can't fault any of them. :D

Beautiful! I like the contrasts in the first shot, wouldn't change it, myself. Well done.

Oh, OK - I thought you meant it happened in mere minutes. I think your timeframe is similar to here. Thanks!
