Corrrr blimmy mate, you nailed that one good and proper.
One gets the impression the East End "Ain't What it Used to be"
Really good shot Graham
Geoff
Thanks Geoff. The East End has historically always been a melting pot for people of every race and creed. Brick Lane was first a refuge for the Huguenots who were weavers and fled France to escape religious persecution, then there was an influx of Jewish people, then some from India. It is now primarily occupied by Bangladeshi immigrants.
Petticoat Lane market was a place to visit but it's not the same now that the Jewish population has moved on and those who ate salt beef at Blooms must surely miss it.

I do visit Petticoat Lane and have got some good shots there but Brick Lane has far more going on, and I do remember Blooms. You can get good hot salt beef bagels in Brick Lane, or smoked salmon.
