I need a little input from the UK members of this group.
I am staying in Stroud and leaving on 14th of October to Portsmouth; then Chilham and finally London.
Any must see places that you can recommend in the Cotswold area? We plan on hiking both urban and the great outdoors. I have an itinerary so we will stay busy; but I want some expert inputs
Thanks in advance
Been driving since 22 September when we left Edinburgh and I love the roundabouts. We have seen some great scenery, towns and learn a wee bit of English history. We have met great an friendly people where every we walked.

Spinnaker tower Portsmouth
You HAVE to take a boat trip all included in the visit to the HMS Victory and all the others such as "Warrior"
Portsmouth aquarium, one of the best in the country
Parking is just 100 yards and a massive car park
Agree with JR - Spinnaker and the aquarium are worth a visit, but I am puzzled by 'Chilham'? This would seem to be well out of your way being over towards the East coast. Do you mean Cheltenham? In respect of your North to South travels I would recommend ignoring Cheltenham if that is what you mean, and slotting in visits to Stonehenge and Salisbury which are virtually on your route South. You will also pass through the New Forest after leaving Salisbury and follow the course of the River Avon. There is a recommended hiking track called the Avon Pathway that parallels the river. This passes through some lovely countryside without being far from civilisation. It can also be done in 'sections'. Some great photo opportunities at all these places and good chances of some wildlife photography as well. Hope this helps.
Chilham is west of Canterbury and had a nice flat for rent. from the internet
"Chilham is a village and parish in the English county of Kent. It has been a location for a number of films and television dramas"

Bourton on the Water is one of the most attractive of many villages, but a real tourist hot point. The two Slaughters (Upper and Lower) are also well worth seeing and you can do a circular walk from Bourton.
Broadway is a beautiful village, well worth a visit. There is a good walk up to the Broadway Tower with a great view over westwards overlooking several counties.
I will try and attach PDF files giving the walk details. PM me if the files don't attach and you want details.
PS. If the full Broadway walk is too long, you can take a path from the tower directly back to Broadway. This is the black dotted line going NW from point 4 on the map.

Here are a couple of photos, one of Bourton and one of Broadway. Broadway was in full sun with a wonderful stormy sky behind.
The Cotswolds are (is) one of my favourite places.
Dave MM Thanks for the ideas. We will try them on Thursday

If you get the chance look in on Bourton on the Water, a very pretty Cotswold village, and a bit further south Castle Coombe another small unspoilt village.
