I have had my D300 for a little over a week now. I am amazed at how much better it is than my old D200. The low light capabilities are astonishing. The 2 attached photos were taken around 11pm, hand held with no flash. I ran the RAW files through Paintshop Pro X6 one step photo fix and Topaz DeNoise saving as JPG

35mm 1.8 1/50 ISO 1600

These are really good shots, authorizeduser! Clear and crisp and sharp. I love the first one on B&W!

This is one reason why so many D300 shooters have kept their cameras.

I have the D300 and D7000. Had the D300 first and then the D7000. Used it for awhile and now have migrated back to the D300. The D7000 is very good, but for fast moving photos, the D300 is just so much better.
