Under the Dome

Here in the UK we tend to get American TV a few years later than you do. My question is does this series actually go anywhere or is it like "Lost" or "Once Upon a Time" that just goes on for ever? I don't spend a lot of time watching TV and I don't want to commit a lot of time to it. Much the same as my attitude to women. And before anyone complains, if I ever made a promise to a woman I would stick by it, it's just never happend since I was widowed.

I can say (with most women) you would HAVE TO STICK TO IT... or they will nag you to death! LOL You are a wise man. :XD:

I got wrapped up in it and like most Steven King novels it just stops, don't waste your time with it.

Thank you. That's what I suspected after the first episode.

It just goes on and on, a typical Steven King novel made into a movie. Like many of his books it just leaves one hanging, no questions answered, no reasons given.
Perhaps if one likes Kings style they will like the series but otherwise it's a great disappointment.

I watched the series and read the book. I like Clive Cussler. Nothing worse than being left hanging. Especially not getting to see the bad guy get his come up ins.

I read the book which I found interesting. Saw the first chapter of the television series and never bothered with it anymore.

I think at some point Steven King stopped writting books and started writting for TV.

I did not read the book, but did watch all the episodes on Monday nights. Yes, there are a couple of episodes when you may ask yourself, "why am I still watching this," but all in all it actually was pretty good. The last couple of shows do address the dome and why it's there and who doesn't want it to go away. Looking forward to next year.
If you want to get involved in a couple of very good shows, watch "Suits" or "Justified."

I just finished Stephen King's new book "Dr. Sleep" and it is one of his best efforts in recent time. Stands up there with "The Stand" & "The Shining", which IMHO were two of his best.
