The earth ahs been warming since the ice age - the scam is that warming is caused by human activity - including breathing

I read the article... Interesting. I don't want to start an issue with this as we are only believing in what we are told by the scientific community. I know there is a problem with the depletion of the ozone layer and the increase of UV light getting to the surface. We all are aware of the fact that we all are getting sunburned much easier than we were kids....Soooo, How does a decrease of 22% of sunlight getting to the surface figure into this?

I hope this isn't just another Chicken Littleist Syndrome.

Wabbit: Only you could find a picture of a Chicken Littleist.

We do have some atmospheric issues to deal with but at this time it doesn't look like anyone is willing to do anything about it but stick our heads in the sand and maybe it will go away. Even if the Western Countries put an effort into it, we must take into account that China's industrial revolution has no concerns about the ecology, we are only spinning our wheels. :|

I is a trend that the planet is going through. It is nothing more than Mother Nature's way to keep us guessing. At first we thought it was an asteroid that killed off the dinosaurs, now wa have newer evidence that it "might" be a super volcano.

Granted, we did make a huge difference with thw Clean Water Act in our country but changing the climate to our better liking is simply beyond our reach.

I find them delicious... with a side of potatoes and salad...

Climate change is an absolute given- as when your entire island was mostly under ice and you could walk to France. It will be once again. There were no republicans or Americans to blame for the first five or so ice ages, so no money to be made or humans to sacrifice to end it...

Follow the money before your dance to the new age priests tune and throw your hard earned money into their collection plate. They can't control it either.

Ocean currents affect much of the world's weather. Also, there are certain currents that, during interglacial periods, travel in well-recognized patterns from Antarctica to the Arctic and back, in a somewhat circular motion. Warm surface ocean currents travel north (in the Atlantic) to the Arctic Ocean, cool and transform into cold deep currents for the trip south again. This is known as the Thermohaline Circulation, if I recall correctly. During these times the earth warms and the Arctic ice pack melts.

The problem comes when enough ice melts to change the salinity of the ocean water to the point of disrupting the Thermohaline transformation, and the currents slow dramatically or even stop entirely. When this happens, there is no new influx of warm water coming north so the ice pack starts to grow again. If the Thermohaline Circulation completely stops, there is nothing to prevent runaway cooling of the Arctic. Presto! A new Ice Age!

Many scientists say this is a cyclic thing and happens every several thousand years. And we are supposedly way overdue.

Interesting info. I wonder if the snake oil salesmen will begin to claim man made/caused carbon dioxide causes global cooling next? They already have changed it to climate change to make sure they cover everything as an excuse to control people and resources. Liars to the core.

Global cooling! Then they'll tax us because we aren't causing enough global warming!

We are causing much damage to the earth- I don't dispute that in the least, and I'd prefer there be some tuna left, some elephants, some whales, reefs wetlands, etc. etc...

I just don't trust the business model of green extortion. How is a carbon tax going to work if China and India and the entire world don't participate? If they don't it is just a money making program in itself that has no ontent on changing anything.

Stonehenge and the like in America - similar places all over the world, are an examples of how a select few could "control the heavens" and thus demonstrate their power over the people. They cut the hearts out of prisoners, rolled them down the stairs, and wha-la- the eclipse would end! That was how they conducted their business of power. 'Algore' and his like are the Aztec priests on top of the green pyramid or he'd give up his corporate jet and his 100 room mansions.
