These were all taken in London's East End in the Brick Lane area. Many are done from artists from all over the world, many of renown. Sorry, I can't remember most of the names, I was too busy taking photographs. I know that many cities in the world have great examples so please contribute.

Probably one of the best known artists: Banksy

Believe me, many of them are recognised. It's just that I couldn't handle a camera and a pen and paper at the same time to write down all the information. Brick Lane on a Sunday is a seething mass of people and it was difficult enough getting a clear shot without people obscuring some of the works. Glad that you like them.

It can be variable at this time of the year but you're sure to get some good days. We'll look forward to seeing some of your results. Which parts will you be visiting, do you know?

Swanage in Dorset, about 4 years ago .... Re Jack Vettriano, he has a massive exhibition at the Kelvin Grove Gallery in Glasgow, until February, so we hope to go up sometime.

Thank you very much for posting these. You captured them very well. I don't often get to see them, though recently there was an online article about some of Banksy's recent work that I much enjoyed.

Thanks HT. You probably heard about the Banksy that was stolen in Harringey and eventually sold in Miami for what I think was £400,000. It was this first one, a criticisms about the import of ultra cheap clothing and the employment of child labour in sweat shops. It was replaced by the second one that unfortunately defaced shortly after.

I suppose someone considered this art of a sort; joke is more likely I think. Took this shot in Naples a few years back during one of their garbage strikes there.
