The Columbia River runs between Oregon & Washington State for hundreds of miles. Along both side of the river you can find dynamic views of cliffs, the river and Mount Hood. Vista House stands atop the highest point on the Oregon side of Interstate 84. The view from there is tremendous. Vista House is a landmark for tourists and locals alike.

Robert, I'm becoming extremely peeved at your propensity to publish pix of pleasing panoramas of places on the planet that I plan to peruse at some penultimate period. Please persist!
All breath taking pictures! I was just out there last June for the first time, and couldn't get over the beauty!
But after seeing everyone else's pics, I'm feeling a bit intimidated!

I had to retire. I needed more time to photograph it all. Now I know what Ansel Adams felt like. So many vistas, so little time.
These are beutiful. My husband and I moved to Arizona from Maine for 9 months. I took most of my pics thru the windsheild. We saw such breathtaking places. Thanks for sharing some we haven't seen.
I am in awe of your work. I grew up in the Northwest and could never get enough of those mountain ranges. If you have any of the Cascades in Washington, please share :)

I'm sorry but my adventures into Washington State have, to this point, been extremely limited. So much to photograph, so little time to do it. LOL
A trip along the Columbia River sounds like it might be in order for some future trip to Washington. The only place I have really been in Oregon is Portland. One of my favorite cities.

Oh my, there's so much more. There's Mt Hood & Timberline Lodge, Multnomah Falls along with 6 other waterfalls along a scenic side road to Interstate 84. Hundreds of pristine beaches line the Pacific Ocean including landmarks like Haystack Rock on Canon Beach and Haceta Head Lighthouse near Florence, OR. It's the most photographed lighthouse in the United States. There's much more but I just say you need to expand your vista from Portland.

Other than Canada I have never been out of the country but decided I need to see the United States first. I have lived with in a 60 mile radius in Michigan my whole life.
Illness took me to Portland for their world class doctors, so I really only saw the city even though I was there three times.
I have since recovered and have decided life is too short to not live it to it's fullest.
Now my children have started moving around the United States. I have one in Seattle and had one in California. I try to go by car to see them as much as possible to see as much as I can. I did a three week trip across the country this spring and hit the Grand Canyon, Kings Canyon and Sequoia, Yosemite (my favorite), then drove up the coast to Seattle. On the way home hit Yellowstone and the Badlands, and Rushmore. Whew. I started with just my niece and myself, by the time we made it to Seattle the car was full as I added two daughters and a granddaughter. I got to take a lot more pictures when it was just the two of us, but I wouldn't trade the adventure for anything.
That is probably tons more than you wanted to know, but there is so much world out there and so little time.
Well done, I do have a few suggestions though.
#1 seems to be a bit washed out with a tiny lens flare top dead center. Sunlight on the front of a lens can cause less contrast in an image.
#2 could have a little less sky at the top, splitting a photo with the horizon lessens interest, unless it is a panorama, a horizon in the middle of a pano lessens curvilinear distortion in the image.
I would tighten the composition a bit on the Vista House photo, a classic example where centering the subject and ignoring the off center placement just works.
Just my opinion, what do you think of my suggestions?
