I just discovered that my tripod does this. I was so pumped! I'll include one of the shots that I got with it in it's new position.

Isn't it fun to just come across something that you can use. And then think back, how did I do without this.:):) Very nice shot too!

What tripod brand are you using here? I have a Manfrotto that will go that low.

Nightski, there's a great video on YouTube that shows a Manfrotto tripod being pushed through its paces, and taught me several good tricks on using mine. I highly recommend this for educational purposes. It can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmenklsAZX8

Excellent set.

You frightened me half to death with the word working and tripod in the same sentence.

Never thought of using that position with my tripod it looks far more cumfy than having the tripod in a similar position whilst laying under it and trying to stretch my neck up to see through the view finder.

Thank you for posting.

Thank you for giving me my very first "laugh out loud" today. I love to start my day laughing. Yep, Wonky, when I discovered this, I was "Yahooing" because I was trying all kinds of ways to get that low shot.
