Hope you don't mind me riding your post Venturer. This same situation exists for the service academy football games that were called off this weekend. None of these programs use appropriated funds to operate. They are all funded through private funding sources. Just another example of this administration's objective to inflict the maximum inconvenience it can on us.

Army, Navy and Air Force football games WILL be played, as scheduled, this weekend.

A spokeswoman for the National Park Service told MyFoxDC that it is still federal land, and the rule is that if there's no Congressional appropriation, no visitors are allowed.
