I took 8 or 9 shots of this guy and when I got home and saw what I had, I wished I had taken more. He just didn't take a bad picture.

Is that Fidel's americian cousin? Your right he didn't take a bad picture, then again he had help, you know the person on the other side of the shutter.

The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it? When I asked him if I could take his pic, he asked me to wait while he got his Sherlock Holmes outfit; thus the coat, hat and cigar. Then someone dug up a magnifying glass. It was a group effort :-)

You chose a very interesting person. Pics look great. I wish I had the nerve to ask strangers if I could take their picture.

I take a book of my photos with me, and once people see it they usually want their picture taken. Plus I keep going back and get to know people. Once in awhile someone says no and I thank them and move on.
It feels a little uncomfortable at first but gets easier, and having the book to show makes it much easier. I also get copies of the photos and give them to the person the next time I go back, and other people start coming to me and asking me to take their photo, too.
