My name is Walt and I'm happy to be joining you. I've been at this off and on for quite a while. I shoot whatever appeals to me, especially travel scenics, in the hope that others like my efforts. I always welcome critiques in the hope of improving my aesthetic sense. I'm including a couple of examples of recent efforts. Comments and contacts are most welcome for critiquing or chit-chat.
I like the random patterns of the sunlight.
I thought the blue chairs made a nice addition to the setting.
I like the setting of the pond with the barn and the mountains in the background.
Welcome
I like the barn with the pond also, though it maybe a bit over saturated. If you had moved a little to your left you would have gotten a beautiful reflection of the barn in the water.
I have to qualify this with I am not a professional and just commenting on what I like and don't like.
Three very nice intro photos. I agree with county mama's comments, except I think the beach is over saturated but the barn is fine. A lighter touch in post precessing will help keep your photos more realistic.
Welcome aboard,
Eric

I agree with you on the beach picture. The foreground in the barn picture I think could be toned down a little. The barn itself is fine.
I totally agree with the reposition to the left to complete the reflection. We all have to remember to see more choices of the same shot to become better
Hi! Thanks, y'all for the suggestions. I probably overdid the post-processing a wee bit. lol. I've got to find that "happy medium" (if you know a psychic who's in a really good mood have her contact me. :-)
Very good Walt, your pics look like printed Post Cards but quality is much better. Keep looking!
I will soon have my pics put in but most of my collection is of dogs for my wife & I operated a shelter for over 20 years and found many a homeless dog or puppy a "forever home".
