I have a Nikon D7000 and I want a good macro lens and don't want to pay arm and a leg for it if there's one out there. Come on ladies and gentlemen.

You have two good choices for your body from Nikon. First is the Nikkor 85mm DX Micro made specifically for your crop sensor. Second is the Nikkor 105mm F2.8 Micro, a full frame lens that is extremely sharp, but a bit pricey for many.
A good third party choice is the Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro at a price in between the two I mentioned above.

I use the 105mm for my Nikon ...100mm L for my Canon . Budget often dictates what you will end up with . If I cannot immediately buy the best ...I usually wait and save up for it .

You want a good macro lens, but it must be cheap. You don't say what you are willing to pay for it.

Nikon 105mm f2.8. nacro. 1:1 reproduction. You get what you pay for.

I have a Sigma 105mm I would sell. Used twice about 20 photos. I'm not really into macro. Make me an offer.

I just looked on Ebay as to what they are selling for, from $49-$69, I pull back my offer....to me it's worth more...sorry, probably why I never sold all my 35mm film gear. It kills me to think of how it's value is worthless today compared to what we payed for it in the 60's & 70's.
AI =Auto Indexing If I recall.
