Tamron received my lens for repair today, I pre-authorized the repair fee (not under warranty, the lens broke my fall), Customer Service said they would ship it back to me by Friday at the latest. I like reliable service. This is the 2nd lens I have sent to them for repair, the last one was quick too.

The lens still worked, it was an 18-270mm but would only close down to 28mm, when it got out to 270mm it would wobble! Still took some good pictures!

Repairs: SK- REPAIR NON-COSMETIC PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
BIX -REPLACE ALL BROKEN INTERNAL PARTS.
BEX-REPLACE ALL BROKEN EXTERNAL PARTS.
AF -ADJUST AUTO FOCUS SYSTEM.
D-DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN ENTIRE LENS.
Z02 -DISASSEMBLE AND ADJUST/ LUBRICATE ZOOM.
C- DISASSEMBLE AND REPLACE/LUBRICATE CAM BARREL.

Ouch! $260, but not bad considering the damage I did to it. I tried to keep it up in the air as I fell but self preservation overcame my desire to protect my camera. LOL
