Satan's beatitudes #7 (reposted by request.)

If Satan were to write his own beatitudes, one of them might go something like this:

"Blessed are those who refuse to use their minds, for the mind is God's only gateway to the soul."

Very good. God gave us a good mind so that we could think and reason.

May I ask what the purpose was to re-post? I see nothing different with this post from your other post. Is this some form of censorship? If so then, what is the purpose of the post in the first place? It still brings up the same questions from your other post, mainly, what are you talking about. Don't you want to start a discussion - to use our minds?

Yes he did, so come my brother, let us reason together. What is your take on Batman's statement. Do you think Christians don't use their minds? Do you know what Batman is talking about? So many questions, so few answers.

Christians and non-Christians use their minds daily just as God had designed the brain to be used. God dose not want man to just depend on his own logic alone but to also depend on Him for guidance as well. King David marveled at Gods design of the human body and gave praise to God. Shouldn't we do likewise, give praise to God instead of giving Satan credit?

The people who refuse to use their minds are doing Satan a favor.

His posts are pointing out what Satan likes in a person.

He is trying to get people to think.

I understand what he wants to do.

I do not understand who he is talking about.

I do not understand what it is that he wants people to think about.

I would care more about what Jesus wants from us than what Satan likes.

I have seen this before, unusually in young people just coming to know Christ. They play Satan as the boogie man and seem more interested in learning about Satan than in knowing Jesus who they just gave their life to. Satan becomes the star in the new Christian's life and Jesus is placed on the back burner. Oh yes, I too went through that stage in my Christian walk and I had friends to help me back on the right path so that I may grow in Christ.

By the way, I too have read the Screwtape Letters and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. You can get The Screwtape Letters on Audio Disk.

The books? That was back in the 90's. 1995 I believe. I can hardly recall either book. The Screwtape Letters was hard reading. C.S. Lewis had his own style of writing. I did not mean that I have the Screwtape Letters on audio disk. I just know it is available. When I left Florida in 2000, I had to leave my collection of Christian Study books behind along with what photographic books I had accumulated. I had started my collection of Christian Studies since the early 80's. I hated to leave anything behind but my van could only hold so much.

Some of the authors I liked was Warren Wiersbe and his "Be" series. Be Mature, Be Committed, Be Joyful, Be Real, etc,. I really took his Be Real book to heart. Each book is a commentary on the Gospels.

Watchman Nee and his book The Normal Christian Life, and his Sit, Walk, Stand book where two very good books.

No one said that Christians don't use their minds. Satan said that people who DON"T use their minds are his kind of people, and are ripe for his putting mischief into their thoughts...like misquoting and deliberately misunderstanding stuff that they are trying to shoot down.
What's sad is, I could probably Re-post #7 every day for a year, and it probably wouldn't do any good, it would just go in one ear and out the other, still. Sad.

Our Class studied Christ's Beatitudes first, trying to clarify the real meanings in Christ's Beatitudes, so it would be part of our understanding, and not just some more Bible-Babble superstition that is a tool of hypocrites. We then turned our attention on how Satan operates...especially in people who encourage us to "ignore Satan, he's just a boogieman and can't harm you. Act like he ain't there."
As to "who he is talking about", Satan doesn't work on Christians...true Christians (upper class "C") are safe from his BS. Who he is working on are "Wannabee" Christians
(lower class "c"), mindless phonies, hypocrites, etc. who are eligible recruits for service to Satan and "fence-Straddlers" who haven't decided which way to fall.
And it all begins with the mind.

Well, you couldn't be speaking to TrainNut (in a manner of speaking) since he is in agreement with you, even if he doesn't say why. Was the reason that you post is to have everyone agree with you? It will never happen. You have opened a topic for discussion but you refuse to discuss you own topic. Open up, give an explanation of what you mean. Led the discussion just like you would in a Sunday Study Class.

What do you mean by Satan likes people who don't use their minds? Give some insight into your thinking.

And what was the purpose of a repost? No one is misquoting you or trying to deliberately misunderstand stuff that you post in a attempt at trying to shoot down your post.

How would you go about protecting your thoughts from Satan and keeping your mind clean? By filling your mind with the goodness of Christ and with what God has done for you through His Son.

The purpose of the re-post was (as stated) a request for a re-post, because someone thought it might be helpful to post it twice, since, obviously, not everyone "got it" on the first go-round, so maybe if they read it again....
As to your wondering if a re-post is somehow being a method of "censorship"................HUH?
(Are you OK?)

Batman, once you are saved, that's it, you are saved. there is no Captial C nor a little c. No one can snatch you out of the Fathers hands. Jesus promised that to us. True, we do at times back-slide and forget about God but his eyes are upon us. Just because we are saved does not mean that we won't slip and sin at times. Jesus knows who is his because he knows the hearts of man. There are those who are false prophets, the false sheep but the true sheep of Jesus knows his voice.
Some of the parables Jesus told deals with what we are talking about. The Prodigal Son deals with Back sliders. Luke 15: 11-32. The Parable of the Sower. Luke 8: 4-15 and in Matthew 13: 2-23. There is also the parable Tares among the Wheat. Matthew 13: 24-30 that deals with "mindless phonies, hypocrites, etc. who are eligible recruits for service to Satan and "fence-Straddlers" who haven't decided which way to fall". Do what your Bible says to do with them, do nothing for we are not to judge but God knows who is his and who is not his and in time God will separate them from us.

Like I had mentioned before, your post will always be on UHH. The most active ones go to the front. Least active to the back. I always go back two or three pages to see what I have missed. There are those who have clicked on your post but had no interest or, they did not understand what your post was about or they thought just another Christian BS and did not want to get involved. It had only been a couple of days or so for a re-post, which did not make any sense.

Do a detect a little malice? After all, how many people have cared to leave a comment?

P.S. There has been 15 post so far on this thread. 4 by Batman. 4 by TrainNut. and 7 By Bangee.
