I have a new in box Nikon mount Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II VC lens for sale. My brother bought it for me at Dodd Camera in Cleveland and it is not what I asked for. They wouldn't let me return it so I am selling it. I paid $673.43 with tax on June 18, 2013 and it is still in the box and the 6 year warranty has not been filled in or sent to Tamron. So, even though it is new, technically I guess you could say it is used but has only been out of the box to inspect it. I will listen to any reasonable offer before I put it on ebay. Thanks.
Adorama and amazon have it on sale for $499 with free shipping.
Thanks for the current reference point. I figured I couldn't get anywhere near what I paid for it....
346pak I love your avatar. My son has an auto restoration shop and have done a '70 Cuda a few years ago. I used to work at Chryslers before moving out here so we are a MOPAR family. Out current car is a '65 Barracuda with a 5.7 Hemi. He drives it daily and it is quite a head turner.
Cheers
John

I have the same lens for my sony. If I were you I'd at least take a few shots with it. I think you'll be impressed with the performance. It is one sharp lens with really nice contrast. You might just keep it.
