BINGO you win, it is an old slide of fireworks that I was going to trash. I had heard of heat ruining film and causeing it to bubble. Burned up several slides before learning what to look for to keep from burning holes in the film base. I have entered and won several contests with what I call Fried Slides. Try using a tooth pick for a heat source and burn away.

I had a teacher at SIU-C back in the 80's who melted slides. I think he just used a BIC lighter.
