Rare - Great Wire Egret

Took this at Egret Park in Centerport, NY. It's right on the coast. Stands about 14 feet high or so (to the tip of the beak). It was just around sun down. No flash, hand held.

Cannon 7D; f/5.6; 1/1250; ISO-2500.

I've heard of a Canon 7D, and 6 pounder cannon, but never a Cannon 7D. Is that some new kind of instrument used to capture 14 ft high Egrets? My!, how far technology has come! On another note, I admire your photograph .....

There are some very interesting patterns here that might give rise to a truly great cropping party.

From this angle, it looks like it's 30 ft. tall. It's beautiful and so is the shot.
