I would have thought that the people on this forum would have done one of two things after reading my OP:

a) realized that this is about the fifth time I've posted stuff by Andy Borowitz, and recognized it as humor and satire.

b) seen how ridiculous the article is as real news. When was the last time anyone published something that short in The New Yorker? Look at the key words list at the end of the article. It even includes the word humor as a key word. Ya think maybe that's a clue?

From now on when I post something humorous I'll be sure I also let everyone know it isn't serious.
