Unfortunately I lost my IPhone 4S on my trip home from Yellowstone. I still have my Ipad. So I'm looking for a new smartphone and I'm looking for input to whether or not I should get another IPhone OR a Galaxy 3,4, note

If anyone has any experience or opinions here, just let me know. Thanks!

And yes, I did 'search' before posting this. :-)

I did some research on both, Samsung 4s and iPhone 5 and here's what I think

The Samsung has a replaceable battery so keeping a spare around just in case you forget your charger is great, or if a year or so down the road your original battery doesn't quite cut it you can replace it and not the whole phone.

The Samsung has a "back" command so that you can easily go back a page. The iPhone can go back, but you never know where the program is going to display it or what it will look like.

The screen is larger on the Samsung and it's as good if not better than the iPhone.

There are more free apps for Androids than iPhone.

Samsung comes preloaded with a lot of useful apps.

The Samsung uses Google for contacts, calendar, drive, email, and much more. So using any PC or Mac you can access the same and make edits. If device is lost or stolen, log into google and all contact, appointments, etc. are back in seconds.

Better camera on the Samsung 13 megapixel

The Samsung Galaxy has taken over as the number one phone in the world. Yes, that includes iPhones.

I'm sure other people can add to this and I'm sure that some iPhone users will chime in and say something about the iPhone that I'm not aware of. But I did my best to vet them both. My sister has the iPhone 5 and I played with it for quite a while when I was recuperating from surgery.

If your iPad has cellular capabilities you should get an iPhone
I have that and I'm able to switch cards. When you don't have
WiFi the bigger screen helps.

Thanks Jack47. I do have cellular on the Ipad but it is not set up. I currently have a mobile wifi so I usually use that to connect the Ipad to email, etc.

You don't have to set the iPad up.
You can just take your SIM card from
Your iphone phone and put it in the ipad.
You can then surf the net on the
Bigger iPad screen without having
Wifi. You should have a data plan for
This. I have 6 gig.

I always have "find my iPhone" enabled. This allows you to find phone from another device using GPS. Are you aware of this feature? My recommendation is newest iPhone 5s, it will sinc nicely with iPad. If you go with Galaxy get ready for 2 hand use. Larger screen not always practical. Good luck and enable find phone feature on whatever you get.
