You should post acouple and get some feed back on what might be wrong. The crew will give advice on settings, composing, editing etc. that you can then take out in the field to practice.

im trying 2 figure out how? i see where i can do one here but when i go 2 a discussion elsewhere - i dont see the same format & i'm not sure what i need to do. Been a long time since i have worked in a forum, lol.

well see that, 1st step completed. And you have nothing to worry about, it's a nice shot. moving objects are hard to keep in focus so don't worry that the girls are not sharp all around. A little cropping to get the gate bottom out would help the over all look and a faster shetter speed could help the moving softness. If you go to Create a topic it's the easiest way to post pics, just like you did here. It also makes it easier for others to find it since it will come up in the Active Topics right away. and don't click the Preview button, it seems to mess up the picture posting somehow

Thanks & actually I did crop it, just not enough....giggle. But now I know that I need to crop some more ;) It is very hard to get them running. I just have a point & shoot - so at times, what I want 2 focus on, is not the same thing the camera wants 2 focus on & it really makes picture taking a task (especially macro pics) I never know where the camera is going 2 focus, so...... I just get lucky some times. I will try a new startup or put some pics on here in different places & go from there. Thanks so much for your help.

I never even thought about the fence.....lol. I was just excited the girls turned out 1/2 way clear..... I will definitely crop it. Thanks ;)

they are precious, Janangelo! I love almost all critters but Chi's are my favorite! :D Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope I will be able to get a good camera before too long. I have been having 3 issues with my P & S and it's driving me crazy! lol.
