Rocket Science Anyone?

The United States ranks 3rd in murders throughout the World. But, if you take out Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C. and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the bottom (in the world) for murders. These 4 cities also have the toughest gun control laws in the United States, and are all controlled by Democrats.

Take Chicago and Detroit and give them to Canada. Dig a canal around D.C. and set it adrift and push it back to England. As for New Orleans, the Gulf hurricaines have and will take care of them if Global Warming (if there is such a thing) doesn't.

Total agreement, handgunner. Didn't you know that they changed the name of Los Angeles to Thunderdome? Let's pay Mexico to build prisons according to their desired specs so we can ship out all those gangs that carry illegally for ten long years of Montezuma's Revenge.

Mike... You must be the only decent person left in your town. Does everybody else in Chicago know you are still there? LOL :-D

Keep that gun well oiled. It will slide easier coming out of the holster easier. Keep your mags full. Here in Ct., the governor passed a law after Newtown that we could keep our high capacity but only load them with ten rounds. like a common criminal is going to obey that law? More feel good legislation. :thumbdown:

One other thing Mike, Isn't Chicago a gun free zone? Just wondering. :?:

These four cities also have the largest % of people living in poverty. I also think they are being sorely mismanaged because the mayors and councilmen/women are prone to graft of all sorts. It's likely that its only coincidence that most of them are dems. Knoxville, TN is a bastion of pay-offs and all sorts of graft, and the leaders are all pubs.

It depends on the income level of these places way more than anything else. Those of us who have never experience abject poverty have no idea what goes on inside a person who lives it day in and day out. Instead of preaching more guns, we need to address the problems that led to the guns.

Sorry, Amy, but poverty does not cause violent crime. I say this from have grown up in worse poverty than most of these people have ever imagined. We had no EBT, welfare, wic, section 8 housing, NOTHING. At times I actually feared starvation, but we didn't resort to crime. Even if these people feel they have no option but to steal to survive, that is no excuse for rape, mayhem and murder. These things are caused by bad parenting and a violent sub-culture, not lack of money. Most of these people don't know real poverty. It's an excuse for bad behavior and a political ploy. What problems would you address, and how?
