I know theres a thread out ther for favorite all time movies, but how 'bout holiday films and tv specials. for me The Year Without A Santa Clause is tops in the animated series and we watch It's A Wonderful Life every year right after we get teh tree put up (this Weekend). And the other classics which Im sure will get several mentions.
Favorite song to hear is Bing Crosby and David Bowie singing The Little Drummer Boy

Absolutely
"White Christmas"! The last act when they do the show for the general is almost as bad for guys as the Gale Sayer's speech in Brian's Song.
My brother's tradition with his daughter is to watch
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (the animated version every year since she was born. She's just turned 29....
I always enjoyed watching March of the Tin Soldiers and Miracle on 34th St.

I have an idea....when we're all too old to walk or shoot (or ride BMW bikes ;) ), lets all check into the same nursing home....I kinda like you guys!!!
ok. We can roll out on wheel chair photo shoots.
I can see the macro shots of our meds now.
Maybe we can start a collection now to open the first UHH Haven rest home. The hard part will be deciding where, based on the majority rules I'm guessing it would be "In Hiding"

I love the movie Holiday Inn. I know it covers all of the Holidays, but it begins and ends on Christmas Eve. I also love to hear Bing Crosby sing White Christmas.
and you guys better stop wasting your money on camera stuff and save up for a nice motorized wheel chair. By the way can't wait til next weekend when the other holiday classic must see, The Nutcraker hits the stage. my daughter plays Klara this year.
Haven't heard the Hanekuh(?) song yet this year either
Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph and Frosty are the 3 majors in my life. I watch them every year (and don't much like any of the "sequals". It's A Wonderful Life is also a much enjoyed holiday movie in our house, but I never watched it as a child. And, of course Miracle on 34th Street.
And as of the past few years . . . Eight Crazy Nights.
and what about RALPHY...in A Christmas Story. That is a pretty good one too.
Btw, EMBRO...my husband left two little pills on the kitchen counter yesterday and I sent him a PHONE PHOTO...to see if I should bring them to him...I swear. turns out it was a vitamin and baby aspirin...so no need to get off UHH...hahahahahah
Christmas doesn't come to our house until we watch The Grinch and Kenny Roger's 'Mary Do You Know"

I always loved watching "White Christmas" when I was growing up (no wise cracks, please, about the obvious falsity of that statement..) but oddly, my favorite scene was the "Snow, Snow, Snow.." song on the train, which often gets cut out now to make room for pickup-truck commercials. I always liked Kaye and Vera-Ellen better then Crosby and Clooney.
Recently, my wife and I have started watching what some might say is a rather odd choice for a Chrismas movie - "Love, Actually" with Hugh Grant, Kiera Knightly, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, and others. It's not a bad little flick, not as treacly sentimental as you might imagine. Grant plays a goofily inept Prime Minister who falls in love with a staff member, and Nighy almost steals the whole show as a relic of the 80s trying to regain/retain his star power. There are about 10 little love story interests all woven together that come to fruition nicely by the end of the flick.
I can't stand the cartoon specials, though. From Frosty to Charlie Brown to the Grinch, you can keep them all.. :(
