Does anybody remember Spiratone? They usta have the best variety of special effect filters and gadgets and cheap but useful lenses. I guess they would work with the new digital cameras and autofocus lenses.

I remember them and have a few of their filters..

most of those effects can now be done via the PC, so there is no need for the filters

spiratone had great products at a very good price. They came out with a B&W developing machine about the size of a current laptop computer You would expose the paper with the enlarger (remember those?) put it in the machine and 90 seconds later you had a perfectly developed print. Wash it about 5 minuted & dry. It sure worked great for the newspaper where I ut it in-saved hours & even dummies could make usable prints through trial & error in minutes. I used to buy their photo paper, developing chemicals, lenses and much more. A great company gone by the wayside like so many which tried to provide good service at a fair price, ie Herters, Montgomery Wards, etc.

Remember Spiratone well. You are referring to a stabilization processor. These were made by a few different companies and Spiratone sold a popular one.

Ahh Yes,

Santa could fill a guy's Christmas stocking with lots of Spiratone goodies for little money back "in-the-day" .

I still have many of the prints from about 45 years ago.

I bought several things from them never had a problem with any of them. I still use the 'Series 7' adapters and filters
with my DSLR. I pretty sure the SUN zoom I am trying to sell in 'for sale' section came from there.
