A rare visit from some real beauties

These lovelies always stay on a big spit of land, that goes out into the harbor,,,, it's protected, so we can't hike out to get very close,,,so,, when the tide is high,, they come in closer,, like today. makes me happy.

Were you out at Bodega Bay today, too? I got some shots of some pelicans that look very much like these, but I don't recall the background in yours. I saw a group on the west side of the bay.

Hi there!! yes, i was out there, these were taken near the harbor,, looking across the channel to the coast guard building. Sure was a nice day, wasn't it?

Very pretty, Randy. Pelicans are some of my favorite goofy birds. :-)

yes, they are mine too,,,,i was fortunate enough, to be on one beach, when there was a feeding frenzy,, they were dropping out of the sky like rocks,, i should post some pictures, even though the quality is not very great.
