My 11 year grandson was visiting yesterday and being very curious boy, he looking at some of my equipment.Ask if could take some pictures. Set up the d7000 wit the sigma 18-200,set it on p and gave him minimal instructions. He was outside for half hour or so.During that time he had taken 17 pictures. These are 3 that I thought were pretty good .Think that the lad might have an eye.

Thanks Erv, I'm not going to force him but plan on picking him up to go on shoots if he wants to. He's the outdoors type.Plays with electronics but prefers to be out in the open skies, which is quite unusual nowadays .Loves physical sports ,hockey and soccer being his favorites. Now my 4 other grand kids, that's a whole different story.

Well, If you gather up all 5 of the Grandkids and take them. They might come around and start liking the out doors too.:):) Or it could turn into a real interesting day for you.:):)

I do think it would be very interesting. One doing something and the other four texting on their iphones or playing games on their ipads, long faces and wondering when are we going home. Love them all dearly but I have a problem with their attitudes sometimes. Like when your talking to them and they put you off so they can answer a text. I can just imagine what would have happened if I would have done that to my grandparents and parents. My butt would still be red.

He did very well. Hope he continues to show interest in photography. I have one grandaughter who loves it almost as much as I do and she's pretty good.

I'm hoping that he will continue also.Great to see young ones do something different. Here's hoping they both keep it up.
